The play takes place both in modern times and during the enlightenment and deals with mathematics, astronomy and Newton. As the play progresses the two time periods begin to interact. We split the stage between period and modern furniture, and as the time periods blend more of the furniture is used simultaneously. I painted the set in the style of Klimt’s landscapes, which captured the feeling of motion and data in the universe.
